BBC releases first have a look at ‘The Daleks’ in color

The BBC has launched photographs from the colourised model of the second Physician Who story, The Daleks.

The story follows the very first crew of the TARDIS as they land in a petrified forest on an alien planet. Decided to discover, the Physician (William Hartnell) leads his companions into the steel metropolis, the place they uncover hazard at each nook and what is going to develop into his deadliest enemy, the mutant Daleks.

Initially broadcast as seven 25-minute episodes, the Terry Nation story has now been edited right down to 75 minutes and the end result colourised.

With model new sound and a brand new rating – created by Mark Ayres – The Daleks has been gloriously up to date, whereas guaranteeing the unique traditional story stays as thrilling because it was when it was first seen again in 1963.

The colourised model can be launched on DVD, Blu-ray, and as a Steelbook subsequent February with the unique seven episodes in black and white included.

The edited and Colourized model of The Daleks will air on BBC 4 at 7:30pm on 23 November.
