The Buccaneers – Apple TV+ confirms a second season

The American assault on nineteenth century London society continues. 

The Buccaneers attracts on writer Edith Wharton’s unfinished last novel. It tells the story of a bunch of fun-loving American ladies who disrupt London society within the 1870s.

After the eight-episode first season concluded final week, Apple TV+ have given the nod for a second run.

Ladies with cash, males with energy. New cash, previous secrets and techniques. A bunch of fun-loving younger American ladies explode into the tightly corseted London season of the 1870s, kicking off an Anglo-American tradition conflict because the land of the stiff higher lip is infiltrated by a refreshing disregard for hundreds of years of custom. Despatched to safe husbands and titles, the buccaneers’ hearts are set on way more than that and saying “I do” is just the start.

The Buccaneers stars Christina Hendricks, Imogen Waterhouse, Matthew Broome, Kristine Frøseth, Alisha Boe, Aubri Ibrag, Mia Threapleton, Josh Dylan, Barney Fishwick and Man Remmers.

The present is created by Katherine Jakeways, who’s the lead author and govt producer, alongside Beth Willis (Physician Who). Season One ‘s director was Susanna White (Nanny McPhee and the Huge Bang, Andor).
